ROUND-UP SUNDAY NOVEMBER 1

HELP US ROUND-UP THE STRAYS AND MAVERICKS

DEAR FELLOW LABORERS:

Next Sunday is ROUND-UP Sunday. I get excited each year as ROUND-UP approaches. Why? I realize that the Blood of Jesus Christ can save any soul. I know that where sin abounded, grace did much more abound. Just think, someone headed to hell could have the most dramatic change of their entire life. That is, they could get saved! And what a blessing in heaven it will be that you could have part in that by bringing an unsaved person with you to church. I will be preaching a gospel message next Sunday titled “THE POWER OF ONE!” I hope you will bathe this message all week in prayer. Remember, ROUND-UP SUNDAY is a ministry effort by the entire church membership to fulfill the first step in the great commission, which is to preach the gospel. As laborers together I hope you will get the Acts 20/20 vision for the souls of men in this 21st century. Acts 20:20,21, is printed in your bulletin each Sunday. Make sure to read and think on it. The day of Christ return is near. Rescue the perishing, duty demands it.

I’m excited about the month of November. The Lord has laid upon my heart to preach a short series of sermons on the Local Church Mission in this 21st entury. The sermon’s will be as follows: Sunday November 1, in the p.m. service the sermon will be titled “THE EXERCISING CHURCH.” November 8, a.m. “GOD’S WORK THROUGH CENTRAL BAPTIST CHURCH,” and p.m. “KEEPING THE TROJAN HORSE OUTSIDE THE CHURCH.” Sunday, November 15, a.m. “THE LAST DAYS LOCAL CHURCH.” The last sermon in the series will be preached on Sunday November 22, a.m. “THANK GOD FOR CENTRAL BAPTIST CHURCH.”

Dr. Jesse Bloom will preach, Lord willing, on Sunday night November 15. On Sunday, November 29, we will observe the Lord’s supper. Pastor Matt Lahmann will be speaking in the evening service. The choir and drama are hard at work in preparation for this year’s Living Christmas Tree cantata. If I may, I want to brag on our choir. These people are faithful to church and practice. They are coming in on Monday nights to rehearse for the cantata, and have been since September. These people love God and they want to minister the Word of God through music in a way that is holy and acceptable unto God. They desire souls to be saved and Christians to be edified through the music. Although our choir is very good, they aren’t performing. They are ministering through the gift that God has given them. Thank God for our choir.

As a ‘heads up’ for each of you, Veteran’s Day is November 11. Also the official calendar list Sunday, November 22, as BIBLE SUNDAY. Of course, November 26, is Thanksgiving Day.

Stay mindful you are representing the Lord Jesus Christ through Central Baptist Church wherever you go.

In Christ,

Pastor Andy. Acts 20:20,21; Luke 14:23
