Man in coma died

The man that had been in a coma awoke long enough for me to urge him to turn to Christ now. He shook his head yes, and went back into the coma. He died a few hours ago, hopefully saved. Many of his family need to get the message from this, not to wait. To give up their rebellion and turn to Christ. Pray that they do this as they will hear the message of salvation at the funeral

Francis Powers has been in a coma and dying. Last week he awoke long enough for me to urge him to turn to Christ. Due to the tube in his throat he was unable to speak, and he soon went back to sleep. He is back in the coma, and his family is taking him off of life support. They assume he is going to heaven, and that he will be better off when he dies. I'm praying that he will not die till he gives testimony of having been born again.

We have had an answer to prayer. There is a family in out area that has been very rebellious to God and unfriendly to Christians. One of them, a man, had been a bad drunk for years. He had an accident and was put in the hospital. While in the hospital, his organs began to shut down, and he went into a coma. The family was called to expect him to soon die. I felt strongly to pray that he not be allowed to die without having another opportunity to hear the gospel. God brought him out of the coma, and I shared Jesus with him. I told him God had brought him back so he could turn to God. I let him know he might not have another opportunity. He still had tubes down his throat, so he could not speak. He soon went back to sleep, as he is still on medicine. I will go back again to follow up. Please pray that this man, named Francis Powers, does not wait. That he will turn to Jesus and live for him. Here we have many people that pray to ask Jesus to be their Savior, but then they never live for him. They think if they just repeat a prayer, that is all there is to it. So many are deceived. They think they are getting saved, but they are not. There has been no teaching about taking up the cross and self sacrifice. People want heaven, but they don't really want God, because they don't want anyone telling them what to do. Continue to pray for my church too. Greenwood Covenant church in Alabama. God has given me a great anointing in preaching, but the church does not yet respond. Some days it looks like the church is waking up to the Spirit of God. But then after a few weeks, it is spiritually dead again. God has given me a vision of organizing things in a biblical way, but there are some leaders that just drag their feet and won't go along with it. They do not fight against it, they just do nothing, even when they are supposed to. I have been here for two years, and no one has been saved yet. I am hoping that the man Francis Powers gets saved, and that will spark a great harvest of souls for Jesus here at our church
